About Us
Kwakhanya is driven by our belief in the power of social change and transforming lives for the better. Kwakhanya was launched in Port Elizabeth (2017) providing assistance to learners that are struggling in Mathematics and Sciences from grade 8 - 10. Kwakhanya offers extra classes during saturdays and March & September holidays.
Vision Statement:
Kwakhanya’s vision is to produce learners that can choose to do both Mathematics and Physical Sciences at matric level and to improve the country's pass rate in the two learning areas.
The high failure rate in Mathematics and Physical Sciences at matric level is the reason why Kwakhanya Mathematics and Physical Sciences project was established.
Mission Statement:
To engage learners in multiple ways to enjoy, investigate, apply, analyse and create scientific information and explanation.
Small class sizes at a ratio of 1:20 for effective teaching and provision of individual assistance.
To provide learners with effective opportunities to attain basic mathematical literacy required for dealing critically with quantitative and spatial information in every day life and which provides access to further training and development.
PRINCIPAL’S GOALS:
To see more learners registering for Mathematics and Physical Sciences at FET band in the future.
Produce scarce skills workers in an effort to boost the country’s ailing Economy.
To ensure that South Africa is part of the global Fourth Digital Industrial Revolution developments.
